*** WARRANTY POLICY***
Information concerning products and services

Regarding services performed:

The services we provide concerning labor charges, by law, do not necessitate warranty coverage. However, we do provide a standard minimum 30-day labor warranty on any services we provide. Example, if your cables come off your garage door and your garage is crooked, and we fix your garage door with no parts replaced then we are only charging you labor fees. What this means is by law we are not required to warranty labor services because by law we cannot tax a customer or homeowner on labor services. So, by giving you a 30-day service labor warranty we are merely showing our appreciation and gratitude for your loyal business. Also, this 30-day timeline is ample enough time to ensure we have performed our services correctly. If at any point during this 30-day labor period, your door fails again then we will in fact come back and fix your garage door for absolutely no fee or cost to you. On the contrary, if your door fails again after this 30-day labor period, it is determined by mechanical function that our services were in fact performed correctly and there must be an alternate underlying issue causing the failure. So, after our 30-day labor period standard service charges will apply. NOTE: This is why it is highly recommended to follow the advice and recommendations of our trained and certified professional staff.

Parts Warranties:

Most parts warranties are covered on site and are determined by which part is purchased and at which price-point. Example, we have standard pricing for our parts but often times we will negotiate with a customer or homeowner to help suit his/her financial needs within a guideline that is suitable for both the customer and Dapper Dudes Garage. Below are a few scenarios you can expect as a Dapper Dudes Garage customer:

PLEASE NOTE: Our warranty policy only covers mechanical issues and potential technician error NOT CUSTOMER ERROR such as running into the garage door and backing out too early or having a broom or other device accidentally fall through the track as the door is shutting via the opener and causing a backwind in the cables and the cables come off causing the garage door to go crooked or unbalanced. Warranties ONLY cover mechanical breakdown or failure strictly. So, homeowners please be careful out there.

Lifetime Warranty: If you pay for the extended lifetime warranty on parts what this means is for the life of the product you purchased from us, its replacement will be completely covered by Dapper Dudes Garage at 100% no cost to you on parts. Depending on the labor warranty labor charges may still apply. See labor charges timeline for further details.

10-year Warranty: If you have purchased or been given this warranty what this means is that for the next 10-years from the date the product purchased was installed you as the customer will be covered under warranty at 100% no cost to you. Again, depending on the labor warranty labor charges may still apply.

5-year Warranty: If you have purchased or been given this warranty what this means is that for the next 5-years from the date the product purchased was installed you as the customer will be covered under warranty at 100% no cost to you. Again, depending on the labor warranty labor charges may still apply.

1-year Warranty: If you have purchased or been given this warranty what this means is that for the next 5-years from the date the product purchased was installed you as the customer will be covered under warranty at 100% no cost to you. Again, depending on the labor warranty labor charges may still apply.

NO WARRANTY: If no warranty was purchased or given what this means is that at any time on or after the date the product purchased was installed Dapper Dudes Garage is no longer bound to cover any cost for repairs or labor including services costs. This is a risk the customer has assumed moving forward concerning potential repairs and services.

Rollers&Cables We typically do not warranty these parts due to many factors affecting these parts inadvertently. Such as for rollers the weight of the door due to weak springs or lack of lubrication and maintenance. As for cables, many times a homeowner will leave his/her garage door open during rainy days and this causes a buildup of rust which directly diminishes the integrity of the cables and their strength. For this reason, cables typically are not warrantied, unless purchased in a package deal or other viable active offer. The same is true for rollers.

Struts: Struts carry no warranty because they will neither break down mechanically or wear down over time. They hold true on a garage door and are only affected when a mechanical failure of others sorts occurs and inadvertently affects or damages the strut, or they are damaged due to customer error such as running into the garage door or lack of maintenance on the garage door and a mechanical failure occurs.

Garage Door Openers/Motors:

If you call us to install an opener you have purchased on your own, we will charge our standard installation fee and no warranty is given for this service because we are merely preforming a service on your behalf. At this point you have not invested in Dapper Dudes Garage, rather, just called for our services. Due to this reason, we simply perform the service for you and let you review our work before payment is made. Once you are satisfied with the installation we will proceed to payment and once payment is made, we will simply depart from your property and all sales and services are final at that point.

If you have purchased an opener from Dapper Dudes Garage directly, we typically lean towards a full lifetime warranty on openers if the extended warranty was purchased. Warranties on openers include the gear and sprocket set, circuit board, capacitor, and limit switches for the entirety of the warranty only.  The safety sensors and keypads or remotes are not covered under warranty due to the elements the sensors are subjected to and the personal handling of remotes and accessories by the customer. After the purchased or given warranty period has expired all parts costs and service labor will apply regardless of issue and previous purchase. PLEASE NOTE: Standard labor fees still apply regardless of parts warranty.

Service/Labor Warranty:

There are a few different levels or duration periods concerning labor warranties. They depend and vary based on the service given and/or the part(s) purchased. The different service/labor warranties are as follows:

Standard Labor: Will carry a 30-day warranty on all services performed unless specified otherwise on site.

Opener/Motor: Will carry a 1-year minimum warranty on any opener bought direct or through Dapper Dudes Garage. This again does not include the safety sensors or any of the electronic hardware.

Electronics: When replacing electronics, standard minimum labor will apply. There are no parts or labor warranties outside of the standard 30-day complimentary labor warranty on any electronics So, if any electronics such as keypad, remotes, sensors, or wall button need serviced or replaced labor fees will be applied.
